acetyl-CoA:D-alanine acetyltransferase

A pyridoxal 5'-phosphate enzyme. The enzyme, characterized from the bacterium Clostridium sticklandii, is part of a degradation pathway of ornithine. It is specific for acetyl-CoA and D-alanine.
