efficient heterologous reconstitution of the cyclooctatin biosynthesis cluster by introduction of a novel, non-native Streptomyces-derived redox system (reductase/ferredoxin system from Streptomyces afghaniensis). The complete, heterologous biosynthesis cascade is established in Escherichia coli.
