reoxygenation of the enzyme, that is deoxygenated by the addition of stoichiometric amounts of the reductant dithionite, can be achieved simply by incubation under an oxygen-containing gas atmosphere. Oxidized (deoxygenated) enzyme can also be reoxygenated by the presence of a slight molar excess of H2O2 within minutes. The enzyme retains its activity in the fully oxidized low-spin state
